Celebrating the Feast of Mary MacKillop

Today, we gather as a school community to celebrate the Feast Day of Saint Mary of the Cross MacKillop, Australia’s beloved saint and a woman whose spirit continues to inspire hearts across generations.

Mary MacKillop showed us what it means to live with determination and humility. She believed in the power of education, especially for those on the margins, and she acted with extraordinary kindness and fierce justice. Her motto, “Never see a need without doing something about it,” remains a guiding light for us all.

May we continue to follow in her footsteps, trusting in God’s providence, serving others with love, and embracing hope in every season.
