Dear Parents and Carers

Two celebrations of students this week.

Well done to the students who represented St Patrick's at the Southern Region Public Speaking finals this week. Stage 2: Allira, Remmi, Ryder and Alexandra, and Stage 3: Liam, Savannah, Clancy and Indy. Thank you to our great teachers for supporting student speech writing. A special thanks to Mr Forbes who assisted these students through rehearsals and the presentations on both days.

Congratulations to Austin Lay, the 2025 recipient of the Michael Rheinberger Award for Athletics. Well done to all the nominees for their achievement: Liam C, Kye, Henry, Gwen, Ally, Teliah, Levi M and Macey.

Congratulations to Evie Magrin, the 2025 recipient of the Noa Jessop Memorial Award. Again, well done to the nominees: Aiden, Remmi, Archie, Kye, Liam C, Lincoln, Max M and Mia D.

Today I have been in Canberra for the annual meeting of priests, principals and Religious Education Coordinators. It has been a great day of learning and connecting. The theme was Catholic Schools Centres for Evangelisation and we heard from Archbishop Christopher, Dr Patrick McArdle the Vicar for Education, and our new system Executive Director, David de Carvahlo.
