FROM THE PRINCIPAL

Dear Parents and Carers

Term 2, 2025, has been another great term of learning at St Pat's. Students continue to learn and progress in their social, emotional, spiritual and academic life.

Hoops and handballs have been the most preferred play activity. Your children may enjoy some time in the holidays continuing to grow their skills in these activities!

Semester reports This week you will have accessed your child's Semester 1 report in Compass. **Please remember to download and save a copy of your child's report as they are only made available electronically. As you read your child’s report, it is important to find opportunities to celebrate their learning and growth.

Semester reports are a valuable snapshot of your child’s journey so far this year. They provide insights into academic achievement, but just as importantly, they reflect the progress your child has made. In NSW the Semester report grading is against the curriculum outcomes for each stage of learning.

  • Early Stage 1 - Kindergarten
  • Stage 1 - year 1&2
  • Stage 2 - Year 3&4
  • Stage 3 - Year 5&6

Your child is on track with their learning against the curriculum if they achieve a 'C.'

At St Pat’s, we know that every child is unique learning and growing at their own pace. While grades and marks can be helpful indicators, they are only one part of the story. The effort your child has shown, the resilience they’ve built, the friendships they’ve nurtured, and the curiosity they’ve brought to their learning are all signs of meaningful development.

Please take time to talk with your child about what they are proud of this semester. Ask them what they found challenging, what they enjoyed most, and what they hope to improve in the next term. These conversations help children feel seen and valued—not just for what they achieve, but for who they are becoming.

As we look ahead to Semester 2, let us continue to walk together in partnership, supporting your child to grow in confidence, compassion, and a love of learning.

Thank you for your participation in the parent teacher interviews, your ongoing support and for the ways you contribute to the life of our school community.

Good luck to Remmi as she goes to Sydney for State Championships in Equestrian during the holidays, we gave her an encouraging clap this morning at assembly.

Have a happy holiday enjoying time with your children.
