TERM 2 - Students return on Tuesday 29th April

Dear Parents and Carers,

It has been such a busy week to end a busy Term 1 of learning at St Pat's.

Welcome to our new student Ronson who has started in Kinder this week.

CROSS COUNTRY We congratulate all students who ran the course for the Year 3-6 Cross Country on Tuesday, and all the K-2 students who completed their course today. It is great to see so many children building up their physical fitness to last the course! Well done to the students who have made it to the regional level for competition!

HOLY WEEK Thank you to our 3 junior classes for the beautiful liturgies this week to share with us the journey of Jesus through Holy Week. Thank you Kinder for reminding us of the triumphant entry of Jesus into Jerusalem on Palm Sunday. We will celebrate Palm Sunday at Mass this Sunday and all families are welcomed to come to 9.30 parish Mass.

Thank you 12G for the photo story and reflections on The Last Supper, Jesus' last meal with his disciples. We really learned about the ritual of that meal from photos of your experience with Fr Adrian at the presbytery and the reflection you shared with us.

And, thank you 12R for helping us to reflect upon the Stations of the Cross and Good Friday.

ANZAC DAY On the last Friday of the term break St Patrick's will participate in the Anzac Day March. We are proud of our captains Archie and Savannah who will present the oration at the Anzac ceremony. We hope many families will join us on that occasion.

HOLIDAYS AND WELLNESS There have been many children away this week will illness and some have been unwell with Covid. We hope all are soon back to good health and that the school holidays can be spent with lots of rest, relaxation, family, friends and fun.

Please don't underestimate the 'rest' part. It is really good to find the balance so that our children can have some time at home playing in the back yard or with the pets or their toys as well as being out and about and busy in the world. Here is a grid that gives a few low cost ideas for holiday time.

Wishing everyone a happy and a holy Easter with opportunities to reflect on the Christian story and the great news of Easter Sunday, Jesus' Resurrection.

Blessings and see you in Term 2.
